The Club was founded in 1934 and is the earliest established canoe club in Scotland, that is still active. Founder members of Forth Canoe Club were active in the setting up of the SCA and the BCU, and members have been continuously active in the organisation of the sport in Scotland.
Membership is open and activities are not restricted to any one branch of the sport. The club has members active in slalom, white water racing, sea touring, marathon, sprint, kayak surf, river touring and ‘pottering’.
In March Forth organises the Grandtully and Thistlebrig White Water Races on the Tay.
In August the club organises the Autumn Grandtully Slalom, and holds a barbecue there for all members helping with the work involved.
Some senior members are involved in the Coaching Scheme, and we can arrange tests including Star and Proficiency Tests.
